Gita and Priyam met on a construction site—Gita was the designer, Priyam the contractor. From day one, it was clear they worked differently. They also discovered they had more in common than just work ethic. Both lived in Lafayette, had young kids just a year apart, and shared a desire to do great work without the drama.

Gita leads all design, permitting, and project management for every project. With a background in Industrial Design and 12 years of remodeling experience, she brings both creative vision and technical rigor to every renovation — she's as comfortable reviewing structural drawings as she is selecting tile.
She custom-built her own home in Lafayette, which means she's been exactly where her clients are: making hundreds of decisions, managing a budget, and living through construction. That experience shapes how she runs every project. Gita lives in Lafayette with her husband and two kids.
PRIYAM SAWHNEY GENERAL CONTRACTOR
KONSTRUCTO INC.
Priyam leads all construction for every project, managing Konstructo's in-house team from demolition through final walkthrough. She started her career by buying and remodeling homes herself — so she thinks like an owner, not just a contractor. She understands where money is well spent and she's not afraid to say so.
Priyam is known for clear communication and showing up — her clients always know where their project stands.
She holds contractor's license #1032050 and has spent 9 years building high-quality residential projects throughout Lamorinda. She lives in Lafayette with her husband and daughters.

LAYOUTS & ARCHITECTURE
Everything starts with your budget — not your wish list. We design layouts around what you want to spend, so by the time plans go to the architect, we already know what's buildable within your number. No expensive redesigns later. And you're not left scrambling to search for architects and engineers!

BID & SUBMIT
Before a single permit is filed, Konstructo prices out the full scope against your budget. If anything needs to be adjusted, we work with the architect now — not after construction starts when changes cost three times as much. This is where our process saves clients the most money. Once the scope and budget are approved, In The Deets manages all city, county, fire, and sanitation submittals.

DESIGN & MATERIALS
Once the plans are submitted, the fun begins: design! To keep your project on time and on budget, we select every finish and material well before construction starts—eliminating last-minute stress. Detailed drawings ensure every element aligns perfectly with your vision.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
When construction begins, In The Deets and Konstructo work hand-in-hand to manage every detail so you don't have to! From placing orders, coordinating deliveries, managing in-field changes —we handle it all. Our goal is to keep you stress-free and deliver a beautiful, functional space your family will love.
